They touched my heart

Since i was transfered to Hospitality unit (MAS) two years ago from Gate Operations unit, 26 May 2011 was a bliss. I meet 2 young passenger travelling alone from Sudan. Their routine was tiring for children aged 8 and 6. Sudan/Dubai/Singapore/Kuala Lumpur /Adelaide to meet their parents. Both of them travelling under IOM Auspices.

When they touched down KLIA, the 6 yrs old boy Geeng Kuan was already created havoc around arrival gate before they both hand over to us for the next 4 hrs transit. After handing over to my colleague, they was taken to Burger King for dinner. They was actually hungry!! Only after dinner we can see they playing around and talking to each other.

2 hours before departure i finally meet them in our Hospitality office when they was brought up by my colleague while waiting for boarding. First time looking at their face, i fall in love with them already..!! OMG they are so cute. I started talking with them but they can speak English but they do can understand me a little bit maybe. We teach them how to play games and they enjoy it so much!!

Meet 8 years old Tong Kuan and his 6 years old Geeng Kuan

As a 8 and 6 years old children, they behaved so well.
Tong Kuan is so shy at first compared to his brother Geeng Kuan. I can't really communicates with them but i try to do something to make them understand me and they did.. I knew they were happy but i just can't imagine why it's so hard for them to express their happiness. It's so precious to see them smile. Tong Kuan's skin was very dry and his hand was so rough compared to other children at his aged here in Malaysia. Guess what, he even have a tiny muscle. I was wondering what is actually this guy doing in their country..?? They don't know how to write and even to hold a pencil correctly.

I always keep on thinking of them

After a while, we have to take them to departure gate for boarding. Tong Kuan was smiling when we send them to the departure gate by buggy. After seated them in their seat on board it's time for me to say good bye to them. Before leaving their seat i saw Geeng Kuan's tears drop to his face. OMG that really touched!! I really can't stop my tears now.. but i have to go. I wipe Geeng Kuan's tears, rubbing his face and leave without looking back to them. Few min later, gate staff was calling for me thru walkie talkie to informed that both of them running out from the aircraft and crying.

When i arrived gate, Geeng Kuan still crying while holding a pack of biscuit given by cabin crew. I was wondering what is in his mind that time..?? For other children, like mine.. They must be very happy and excited to meet their parents.. Do they know that they are going to meet their parent..?? or maybe they don't even have any idea where are they heading to.. I really felt so sad that time. Myself, IFS, cabin crew, IOM person and gate staff are trying our very best to calm him down. After few min we finally persuaded him back quietly and agree to enter the aircraft although still in small tears to avoid further delay of departure.

On board the aircraft, Geeng Kuan still crying and refused to be seat. Finally, IFS decided to page for any of other passenger who can speak their language and thank GOD someone appear to help. Few min later aircraft door closed and push back.

Until today i still keep on thinking of them. If they were to be offloaded that night, i will ask a permission to take them back to my place and meet my children. I want my children to realized how lucky they are compare to their friend, little Tong Kuan and Geeng Kuan. I want Tong Kuan and Geeng Kuan to be part of my family although a day. I wish i can meet them again in future and always pray for their happiness.
I admit that i started to think about them and miss them everytime i saw children their aged..( my boys are their aged ) huhuhu..

Those are my 'Tong Kuan' and 'Geeng Kuan'..

Those experience was so precious for me after 13 years working with Malaysia Airlines. Thank you MH..
I saw those Hospitality are in me already since that i don't even realized it.
